Financial Advisor & Chief Accounts Officer (1) (PB Rs.15600-39100, GP Rs.7600),
Grade: FA & CAO
(Functional designation as Chief Finance Manager)
No. of Posts: One
Mode of Appointment: On contract at a fixed monthly salary commensurate with pay band Rs.15600-39100 and grade pay Rs.7600.
Tenure: 2 years. Exceptionally good candidates may be considered for a longer tenure. Further extension is possible based on performance.
Qualification: M.Com (under 10+2+3/4+2 scheme) with CA/ICWS/Cost Accounting. Consistently good academic record. Preference will be given to those having MBA.
Experience: Minimum 10 years of post-qualification officer level experience in finance and accounts of an academic/research institute of national/international repute, with at least 3 years in the immediate lower Grade Pay of Rs.6600/- in the Pay Band of Rs.15600-39100 (pre-revised scale of Rs.10000-325-15200). Preference will be given to applicants having experience in running finance and accounts office of large educational institutions and sound practical exposure to advanced computer applications in the management of finance and accounts. A successful applicant is expected to independently manage the Finance and Accounts Office and advise the Director on managing funds. Good communication skills in English is essential.
Age: Not below 35 but not exceeding 50 years as on the last date for receiving application.
Functions: Overall in-charge of Finance and Accounts Office and is responsible for maintenance of accounts, disbursement, investment, statutory auditing, preparing budget estimates, and tax and other statutory requirements. Functions with operational guidance of Dean(s) when appointed. Reports to Director.
