SCIENTIST ORNITHOLOGY, AVIAN PHYSIOLOGY AND GENETICS, WETLAND ECOLOGY JOBS IN INDIA

Salim Ali Centre for Ornithology and Natural History (SACON) Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu) invites applications for the following posts -
  • Scientist (Ornithology)
No. of Post - 01 post (ST)
Pay Scale -Rs.15600-39100 + 6600/-
Educational Qualification &WETLAND ECOLOGY, Experience - (i) Ph.D. in any branch of life sciences related to economic ornithology, applied ornithology or field ornithology.
(ii) 5 years experience in field ornithology or economic ornithology. Well versed in analysis and interpretation of ecological data.
Age Limit - below 35 years

  • Scientist (Wetland Ecology)
No. of Post - 01 post (SC)
Pay Scale - Rs.15600-39100 + 6600/-
Educational Qualification & Experience - (i) Ph.D. in any branch of life / Environmental Science, based on a problem related to the wetland plants/habits/ecosystems.
(ii) 5 years research experience in wetland with experience on wetland habitat and species assessments and analysis and interpretation of ecological data.
Age Limit - below 35 years

  • Scientist (Avian Physiology and Genetics)
No. of Post - 01 post (PH)
Pay Scale - Rs.15600-39100 + 6600/-
Educational Qualification & Experience - Ph.D. in any branch of life Sciences with specialization in physiology or genetics.
(ii) 5 years research experience in avian physiology or genetics. Well versed in use of various equipment and processes in physiology and genetic research and in the analysis and interpretation of data.
Age Limit - below 35 years

  • Senior Scientist (Wetland Ecology)
No. of Post - 01 post (UR)
Pay Scale - Rs.15600-39100 + 7600/-
Educational Qualification & Experience - Ph.D. from a recognised University in any branch of Life Science, based on an ecological problem related to the wetland.
(ii) 10 years research experience in wetland studies with experience in wetland habitat and species assessments and analysis and interpretation of ecological data.
Age Limit - below 40 years

  • Principal Scientist (Ornithology)
No. of Post - 01 post (SC)
Pay Scale - Rs.37400-67000+8700/-
Educational Qualification & Experience - Ph.D. from a recognised University in any branch of Life Science, based on a problem related to ornithology, conservation of birds and their habitats.
(ii) 15 years research experience in ornithology, habitat-bird interactions, conservation biology, species / habitat recovery programs.
Age Limit - below 45 years
