ENGAGEMENT OF SERVICE LEVEL AGREEMENT SPECIALISTS, INFORMATION SECURITY SPECIALIST, DATA BASE MANAGEMENT SERVICE AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY QUALIFIED PERSONNEL IN ESI CORPORATION

ENGAGEMENT OF  SERVICE LEVEL AGREEMENT SPECIALISTS, INFORMATION SECURITY SPECIALIST, DATA BASE MANAGEMENT SERVICE AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY QUALIFIED PERSONNEL IN ESI CORPORATION


Applications are invited on prescribed form for contractual engagement of (i) Service Level 
Agreement Specialists (SLA) (04 posts), (ii) Information Security Specialist (01 Post), (iii) Data 
Base Management Specialist (DBMS) (01 Post) and (iv) Information Technology Qualified 
Personnel (02 posts) in ESI Corporation for an initial period of one year, which can be extended 
subject to satisfactory performance and the satisfaction of the Department. The contract may be 
terminated at any time.  
  
1. Service Level Agreement (SLA) Specialists:- Four (4) posts
Educational Qualification and Experience Required:-
Essential:-  
• B.E./B. Tech/MCA in Computer Science or Information Technology from a 
Government recognized University/Institution with first class or minimum 60% 
marks in aggregate with minimum 5 years of experience of working in IT 
Department of any Government organisation or reputed private IT firms. 
• Holds certification like CCNA/CCSP/CCSA/CCSE/MCSE/MCSA.

Desirable Qualification:-
• Working experience on Linux/Windows Server Administration, Solaris server, My 
SQL , Java, ASP Dot net, Web Designing, Web architecture, Network load balancing, 
Network Trouble Shooting and Management,  Networking Tools like- BMC, T-Mart, 
EMC- EMS, etc., Uptime of LAN/WAN and Voice infra etc, Cloud/Grid Computing 
and Virtualization. 
• Experience of working in large public usage companies like Railways, Banks, 
Insurance, Electricity/ Telephone companies. 
Location: All these positions will be based at New Delhi, but they may be required to travel 
to different locations within India.
Age limit:  Not exceeding 35 years as on 15.12.2011



Information Security Specialist (01 Post) & Data Base Management 
Specialist (01 Post) 
Educational Qualification and experience required: 
B.E./B. Tech/MCA in Computer Science or Information Technology from a Government 
recognized University/Institution with first class or minimum 60% marks in aggregate 
with minimum 5 years of experience of working in IT Department of any Government 
organisation or reputed private IT firms. 
AND 
For Information Security Specialist:
• Holds certifications like CISSP/CISA/CGEIT etc.
• Hands on Experience on Firewall, IDS/IPS, Antivirus and Vulnerability Assessment, 
VPN Concentrator, Netscreen, ITIL process etc.
• Working experience on Managing the information security function in accordance 
with the established policies and guidelines through internal reviews based on ISO 
27001 compliance Standards.
Desirable Qualification: Experience of working in large public usage companies like 
Railways, Banks, Insurance, Electricity/ Telephone companies. 
For Data Base Management Specialist (DBMS):
• Working experience on  RDBMS & DB design, Data architecting, MySQL (Solaris) 
Server, DB Architect, performance tuning, data modeling/ mining. 
Desirable Qualification: Experience of working in large public usage companies like 
Railways, Banks, Insurance, Electricity/ Telephone companies. 
Location: All these positions will be based at New Delhi, but they may be required to travel 
to different locations within India.
Age limit:  Not exceeding 35 years as on 15.12.2011. 
3. Information Technology Qualified Personnel :- Two (02) posts
Educational and other Qualifications:-
B.Tech / Masters in Computer Application (MCA) from recognized Institutions. 
Age Limit: - Not exceeding 35 years as on 15.12.2011. 
Nature of Job:-   To work in the Special Cell of Vigilance Division and to deal with technical 
hitches at the time of developing/floating standard questionnaires  and other allied work. 
Period of Job:-    Engagement of the personnel on contract basis will be for a initial period 
of one year extendable up  to a period of 3 years subject to satisfactory performance and 
satisfaction of the Department.  The Department can consider further extension in 
exceptional cases.  However, the contract may be terminated at any time without 
assigning any reason. 

Remuneration:  
1. Service Level Agreement (SLA) specialists, Information Security Specialist & Data Base 
Management Specialist
A consolidated payment of Rs. 50,000/- p.m. will be paid to the selected candidate for each of the 
above mentioned posts which will be subject to Income Tax regulations as per Government 
directives. It is a consolidated salary per month and other than this no allowances will be paid to 
the selected candidates. Though whenever these Specialists are required to travel, they will be 
paid the Traveling Allowance as paid to the officers of similar grade officers of ESIC. 
2. Information Technology Qualified Personnel.
A consolidated payment of Rs. 24,000/- p.m. will be paid to the selected candidate for each of the 
above mentioned posts which will be subject to Income Tax regulations as per Government 
directives. It is a consolidated salary per month and other than this no allowances will be paid to 
the selected candidates. In addition to the above consolidated remuneration, the selected 
candidates will be allowed TA/DA for tour undertaken for official work at rates applicable.  No 
other perks/benefits such as HRA, CCA, Transport allowance, Medical re-imbursement, leave with 
pay are admissible.   
Selection Process – 
1. Service Level Agreement (SLA) specialists, Information Security Specialist & Data Base 
Management Specialist
Eligible short-listed candidate will be required to appear in an interview or if need be in a written 
test. Candidate must bring Original Mark sheets, Testimonials and two colour Photographs at the 
time of Written Test/ Interview. List of eligible candidates shall be published on the official Website of Employees’ State Insurance Corporation. (www.esic.nic.in). No individual intimation shall be 
given to the candidate. 
Individuals must be medically fit, motivated and dynamic to produce results in time bound 
projects and willing to join immediately after selection.  No TA/DA will be paid for appearing for 
written test / interview.   
2. Information Technology Qualified Personnel.
Eligible short-listed candidate will be required to appear in an interview or if need be in a written 
test for short listing of candidates. The written test will be conducted by conventional method or 
online examination comprising of objective type multiple choice questions followed by interview 
of short listed candidate only.  
Individuals must be medically fit, motivated and dynamic to produce results in time bound 
projects and willing to join immediately after selection.  No TA/DA will be paid for appearing for 
written test / interview.  

General Conditions and How to apply:-
1. Employees from Government/Public Sector Organizations with previous experience in 
handling e-Governance initiatives at the National or State level are encouraged to apply. 
2. The Qualification of the candidates must be from recognized University/ Institution 
approved by AICTE.

4. On selection the candidates has to submit the Medical Fitness certificate issued by C.M.O. 
before joining the Corporation. 
5. The application should be accompanied by a Demand Draft of Rs. 225/- issued (after the 
date of publication of advertisement) in favour of ESI Corporation, New Delhi payable at 
New Delhi. This should be clipped on top of the application. 
6. The application should also be accompanied with two self-attested photographs showing 
candidate’s name on top of the photograph along with self attested Photostat copies of 
Degree and educational qualifications and proof of experience in the related field.  
7. Only Short-listed eligible candidates will be called for interview and/ or written test.  The 
Written test/ interview will be held at Delhi. 
8. Incomplete applications and applications received after the last date will be rejected.  No 
interim correspondence will be entertained. Application Forms without supporting 
documents and the application forms of the candidates who fail to fulfil the eligibility 
criteria will be summarily rejected and no further  queries/ communication will be 
entertained in this regard. 
g) The last date for receipt of application is 15-12-2011.
   Merely fulfilling the minimum prescribed qualifications and experience will not vest 
any right on a candidate being called for interview.  Since it may not be possible to call all 
the candidates for interview, the applications will be short listed for the purpose.  The 
decision of ESIC will be final.  The Corporation will not entertain any correspondence in this 
respect.  
CAUTION: -Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification and shall lead to cancellation of the 
candidature
