Educational Qualifications: a. Those who are applying for B.Sc.posts - Must possess a Degreein B.Sc. Nursing from the recognizedinstitute. b. Those who are applying for Diploma posts - Must possessa certificate in General Nursing Course of not less than 3 years and a certificate in Midwifery or Psychiatric Nursing course of not less than 6 months from the recognizedinstitute
and c. The registration in Karnataka Nursing Council is mandatory for both the posts.

. ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS: a. The Candidatecan apply for more than one post if eligible, in the same application form. b. Candidate should be a Citizenof India. c. The male candidate who has more than one wife living and female candidate who have married a man already having another wife are not eligible for recruitment unlessthey have obtained prior permissionfrom the Government. d. The candidate must be physically and mentally fit and he should be able to dischargetheir duties confidently for the post to which he/she will be selected. e. The candidate who attempts to obtain extraneous support by any means for his candidature from officials or non-officials is not eligible for appointment to the posts specified in this recruitment.
f. The candidate who is or has been convicted of an offence involving moral turpitude or who is or has been temporarily debarred or disqualified by the Union or any State Public Service Commission from appearing for examinations or selections conducted by it shall not ordinarily be appointed to the posts specified in this recruitment, unlessthe Government after a review of all the circumstancesconsider him suitable for such appointment. g. The candidate; I. who is or has been a member of, or has associated himself or herself with, anybody or association after such body or association is declared as an unlawful body or association; OR II. has partlclpated in or is associated with, any activity or programme: i. aimed at subversionof the Constitution of India; ii. aimed at organised breachor defianceof law involving violence;
iii. which is prejudicial to the interests of the sovereignty and integrity of India or the Securityof the State; or iv. which promotes, on grounds of religion, race, language, caste or community, feelings of enmity or hatred between different sections of the people; or v. is dismissed from service under the Government of India or any State Government; or vi. is or has been permanently debarred or disqualified by the Union or any State PublicServiceCommissionfrom appearingfor any examinations or selectionsconducted by it; are not eligible to the posts specified in this recruitment
COMPETITIVE EXAMINATION - PAPERS: All eligible candidates should appear for the Competitive Examination conducted by Karnataka Examinations Authority. (Multiple Choice Questions in English) Total marks - 200, Duration - 180 Minutes, Minimum pass marks 100. Competitive Examination will be conducted in one session
METHOD OF SELECTION: Selectionof candidates will be made by a Committeeconstituted in the KidwaiCancer Institute, on the basis of merit list prepared by the Karnataka Examinations Authority by following the policy of reservations in State. The Karnataka Examinations Authority will prepare a merit list on the basis of the marks secured by the candidates in the competitive examination. If the aggregate percentage of the total marks secured in the Competitive Examinationof two or more candidates is equal, the order of merit in respect of such candidates shall be fixed on the basis of their age, the person older in age being placed higher in the order of merit.
