Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2026 Eligibility
1. Store Keeper Grade II
Educational Qualification: Candidates should have passed 12th standard from a recognized Board or University.
Experience: One year’s experience in handling stores from a recognized firm, Central Government, State Government organization, or Public Sector Undertaking.
Age Limit: 18 to 25 years. The age limit is relaxable for Government servants up to 40 years as per applicable Central Government instructions.
2. Engine Driver
Educational Qualification:
- Matriculation from a recognized Board or equivalent.
- Certificate of competency as Engine Driver from a recognized Government institute or equivalent.
Desirable Experience: Two years’ service as Sarang on a vessel of over 400 Boat Horse Power.
Age Limit: 18 to 30 years. Five years’ relaxation is applicable for SC candidates against reserved vacancies, subject to the applicable Government rules.
3. Lascar
Educational Qualification: Matriculation pass or equivalent from a recognized Board.
Experience: Three years’ experience in service on a boat.
Age Limit: 18 to 30 years. Relaxation for Government servants is available up to 40 years according to applicable Government instructions.
4. Civilian Motor Transport Driver (Ordinary Grade)
Educational Qualification and Requirements:
- 10th standard pass.
- Valid driving licence for both heavy and light motor vehicles.
- Knowledge of motor mechanism and ability to remove minor defects in vehicles.
Experience: At least two years’ experience in driving motor vehicles.
Age Limit: 18 to 27 years. Three years’ relaxation is applicable for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates, subject to Government rules.
5. MTS (Peon)
Educational Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent pass.
Experience: Two years’ experience as an office attendant.

Indian Coast Guard Selection Process 2026
